EXPERT’S COMMENT: HOW AN AGGRESSIVE NEIGHBOUR IS TRYING TO STOP LITHUANIA’S EFFORTS TO BECOME ENERGY INDEPENDENT
Energy is one of the cornerstones of Lithuania’s independence: if we can supply ourselves with energy resources, we can make all our own decisions without being pushed around by an aggressive neighbour. We have already cut one umbilical cord – gas – from Russia, but now it is important to focus on renewable energy so that Russia has no tools to manipulate us. There is a lot of such manipulation going on today: Robert Juodka, a Member of the Board of the Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association and Attorney at Law and Managing Partner (International Business) at PRIMUS explains how Russia is trying to stop the development of renewable energy in Lithuania.
The whole article with Robert’s comment and insights (in Lithuanian) was published in by such regional media channels as Širvintų kraštas, Molėtų Vilnis, krastozinios.lt, Suvalkietis, Ūkininko patarėjas.
